Much is happening in our world, as we adapt to new ways of interacting with others.  For me it has been a process of learning more about Skype and Zoom, but more specifically about the world of podcasting.  I have always enjoyed podcasts because I could listen to them while I was on the move doing other things, but now I have had the opportunity to learn them from a different angle.

I have just finished several podcasts, where I have been interviewed by established podcasters.  What an experience it has been, as I have learned how to navigate what it takes to be interviewed in this way.  In my book, I Meant It for Good:  A Memoir of Dreaming, Visualizing, and Becoming My Authentic Self, I talked about becoming authentic by allowing myself to be vulnerable.  Now I once again feel vulnerable as I place myself in the position of answering questions posed to me, by these podcasters.

Just like the cactus with its many thorns, life sometimes seems uncomfortable and a bit rough, if not downright painful.  And yet, just like the cactus that blooms in the spring, sometimes our adversities are turned into opportunities.  And maybe, just maybe it’s a time for us to step back and ask what is important and how we will proceed in the future.

One of the podcasts I had the opportunity to participate in was a podcast with Rekishia McMillan at Rock Your World Naturally.   Rekishia is an award-winning author, air force veteran, and health evangelist.  She is passionate about biblical truth, scientific research, and practical life-style approaches to Rock Your World Naturally.  Rekishia is definitely making a difference in this world, by the person she is and the services she offers.  Click here to read more about Rekishia.

Follow my interview with Rekishia as we talk about listening for the still small voice, choosing to live in fear or faith, and how I came to write a book.  We also talked about believing there is always hope in the darkness, the value of dreaming and visualizing, and the importance of always taking steps to move forward even when we feel very vulnerable.  Click here to read more about my interview with Rekishia and listen to the podcast.

My book, I Meant It for Good:  A Memoir of Dreaming, Visualizing, and Becoming My Authentic Self, is now in eBook format and is available on Amazon.

And now I am off to see my grandchildren…..virtually that is.  Today we are playing Bingo.

    Hi Mary,
I am looking forward to reading this. My time, similar to this, was when I suffered from depression as pastors wife, early in our marriage and ministry. Going back into my childhood, journaling, listening to God………..all brought healing and I continue to live what I learned in those several years. May God use all you’ve been through to bring glory to His Name. You have a lot to offer! Donna

Thank you Donna for sharing. I think this allows us to help others, when we are open enough to share the difficulties that we have gone through, to let others know we all have adversities and times in our life when it is just plain hard to navigate through the pain. And yet, to know that when we walk through these challenges we can find joy.
